Default Watched some Chrome Fly off my Bike..

Went for a 150 miler yesterday and as I was riding doing around 70mph or so I heard a clank and saw a shiney piece exit off by my right floorboard. With no where to stop I proceeded for about a mile or 2 then pulled off the road and couldn't see anything missing. At first I thought it might have been the Chrome Regulator cover. Got back on and proceeded to my destination. Checked again but didn't see anything missing.

On my way home I stopped for gas and when I went to push the Starter button I noticed the Chrome Throttle adjuster cover missing...

These things are like 2 half shells held on by a lousy C type clamp... $60 buck bounced away...

Also, they whistle in the wind if they are turned a certain way...

A buddy of mine likes to keep his highway pegs loose so he can put his feet in different positions. Instead of using loctite on the bolts, he checks and re tightens them loosely often. Well, on more than one occasion, I have seen them flying at me at 70 mph. Doesn't always find them either. Some people never learn.

The previous owner put them on my bike. They have held on for 3 years so far.

I hate when that happens. Lost my footpeg off my hiway bar a few years ago. It got through the intersection before I did. Then it got ran over by a truck seconds before I could get to it. Used red locktight next time.

Use Blue only!

Red is like welding the part on, you will NEVER be able to remove it
