Default 06 Heritage frame

I have a friend who got hit by a car on his 06 Heritage. Minor impact but it hit the crash bar and bent one of the down tubes. Rode it to HD dealer and they said it will take a new frame as they don't straighten frames, just replace which I understand. They said minimum 4 weeks to get new frame from factory. Does that sound right? He will have to wait minimum of 4 weeks for new frame and then a week for them to tear down old frame and install all on new frame. Anything to watch out for during the process? Wouldn't you think it would get new steering neck bearings too?

Default RE: 06 Heritage frame

they will actually cut off and send in his old neck for VIN verification and it could take more time or possibly less, you never know--good luck
