I installed my new Bare bones solo on my 03 FXST today. What do you guys do with the 2 holes left showing for mounting the old 2 up seat? I want to be able to throw the old seat on when my old lady wants to ride. So I dont want to do anything permanent. What do you solo guys do with yours?

 

I put a piece of clear tape over mine to keep the rode dust off my back..........

 

Harley makes a plastic insert that should be in one hole already. Just get another to replace the rubber plug and for the screw hole Harley makes a chrome plastic screw in that they get $5 for.

I did something a little more creative.&nbsp\\; I took a round from an 8mm Mauser, painted the shell black, polished the tip, and used JB Weld to attatch a 1/4-20 screw.&nbsp\\; After it dried and hardened I bought another threaded insert from HD&nbsp\\;and screwed it in.&nbsp\\; I think it looks pretty sweet.

 

Thanks guys. I bought 3 black plastic snap in plugs for the holes from the dealer today. Looks nice now.
