Heavy Breather Filter Color Change?
Those with Heavy Breather is there any way to darken the orange colored filter? \\; I have just had one installed one on my NightTrain. \\; I wanted to exaggerate the air-cooled aggressive look. \\; However, the orange filter seems to disrupt the black look of the bike.
 \\;
Any ideas on how to darken the filter?

RE: Heavy Breather Filter Color Change?
I'm no expert but the color is due to the oil added to the K&\\;N filter. I also have been looking for a colored filter as my bike is black and I want the color match. I have even heard of people soaking their filters in food coloring (no kidding). I'm afraid we are stuck with the \\;redish orange.

Unless someone else has any other options..?

The color will fade to grey and when you re-oil it it won't return to the bright red it was when new.
