Front Tire Locks Up on Springer

Front Tire Locks Up on Springer
I have a 98 springer softail that easily locks up the front tire. \\; The brake lever is hard and squeezing it 20% can lock it up, don't ask me how I know []
 \\;
I bled some air into it so I can squeeze it more like 50% but the air kinda bled itself back out some how.
 \\;
Any suggestions on how I can desensitize my front brake?

You let some air in it? Why the heck would you do that? Thats the last thing you need in there. You probably have a caliper that is stuck or sticking.

This is what i would do:
Remove the caliper and pads. \\;Gently squeeze the brake lever to see if the piston \\;moves out. If it does, push it back in and squeeze the lever again. Repeat this a few times to loosen it up. Clean everything and reinstall the caliper and pads. Now completely flush and bleed the system with fresh brake fluid. Go to AutoZone and get a vacuum bleeder which makes the job so much easier. If you aren't comfortable doing any of these things, take to someone who knows what they're doing. You kind need your brakes!!!

Thanks, yes they are. 21x3.5 in the front with a 120/70-21 Metzeler and 18x4.25 in the rear with a 160/60/18 Metzeler.
I love 'em too!
