Default Shake at 65 kph (40mph) 2008 Fatboy

Hi all
When i accelerate and go through 65 km (40mph) I get a shake in the handlebars front end&nbsp\\;same when I am decelerating down through 65 km. it seems to be just at that speed.
Is this normal? The dealer said yes but I don’t think so. I rented a lot of Harleys and rode friend’s&nbsp\\;bikes and they do not do it.
Mine is a 2008 Fatboy with 500 KM on it. This is bothering me some...
&nbsp\\;
Thanks
&nbsp\\;
Liam

There were quite a few reports of wobble for the '07 Fatboys... required a steering head adjustment, as I recall.

Use the Search button, enter the keywords fatboy and wobble, and you'll find lots of info and corrections.

I had a wobble at higher speed. When we checked the bike (08 Fatboy) we found the stearing head was loose, the rear wheel slightly out of alignment (and too tight), and the front forks we slightly misaligned - all from the factory!! Get an experience independent to check it cause I have no wobble at all at 65kmh.
&nbsp\\;
As an aside I still have a slight wobble at 110-120kmh but I have started to put this down to me hanging on too tight to the Burleigh Western bars (which are very wide) when the wind is buffeting me.

One thing to check would be the pressure in your front tire.&nbsp\\; I had a wobble when decelerating on my 07 night train&nbsp\\; right at 40 mph and the tire was a tad low....filled the tire and the wobble is gone.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;

I have the same wobble, and at the same speed on my '08 Fatboy.&nbsp\\; Two different indy's haven't found it yet, one of them thinks it is some kind of torque harmonic going through the whole frame.&nbsp\\; All their checks have been to spec, and I am on a fresh set of tires with nothing worse or better.&nbsp\\; The steering head has been messed-with a couple of times (both in and out of spec) and nothing is changing my very solid symptoms.
&nbsp\\;
I have simply accepted this as part of my FB personality (I think each bike has its quirks).&nbsp\\; The shake goes away quickly, so I am not really going to worry about it.

I dunno, maybe mines messed up then. I have an '07 and&nbsp\\;I don't have any wobbles. She's smooth no matter what speed I'm at. If yours is normal, I should take mine it to get looked at. Maybe the wobble was extra? Hope you get it figured out.
