Default Need some advice on a Fat Boy

I am looking for a used Fat Boy and found 2 that I like.

1. 1998 with 3562 miles, $11,950.00
&nbsp\\;
2. 2002 With 11,602 miles, $13,950.00
&nbsp\\;
Both are very clean and have about the same add ons.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Is it worth spending more to get the 88 CI engine, or will I be happy with the 80 CI.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; What are the advantages and disadvantages of both motors.

&nbsp\\;Thank you in advance for you opinions.

Unless they are extremely tricked out, both sound high to me. I got a 2000 with 8600 miiles on it for 10,500.00. It has lots of extras, detachable windshield and custom Corbin seat.
&nbsp\\;
That being said, I would go for the '02, but try to get a better price.

not really true, Harley is a captive market. this fact lets the new price remain high, regardless of the economy. this fact will also keep the prices of used bikes from increasing because of the economy.
by the way yes buy a TC-88 bike not a EVO, so yes its worth the extra money. you should be able to get an 05 for 14,000. you can get an 07 with low miles for 15.5K.

I would definitely get the TC-88 over the Evo. The prices you quoted seem to high in today's market.&nbsp\\; You should be able to get the 02 for&nbsp\\;11K or so.

Myself, I'd go with the 88". Where I live, on the used shiete for sale website, some are asking $18000 for a fatty that is 4-5 yrs old. Mind you, a 08 out the door is around $24000 (Canada).

Shop around. There are many bikes out there far better than the ones your interested in. I mean it. the prices for those two bikes are very very high. You can get much newer for much less. Do your homework and believe me you will be glad you did. It's my .2 cents thats all. Good luck searching. It will be worth your while. Take care and ride safe.
