Default Hard starting suddenly

Recently my '94 Evo (42,000 miles)&nbsp\\;isn't wanting to idle when I start it up.&nbsp\\; Its OK after about 2 miles of riding but it'll die if the clutch is pulled without feathering the throttle.&nbsp\\; Its been a real easy starter since I got it 2 years and 18,000 miles&nbsp\\;ago. &nbsp\\; I've changed the plugs (not wires or coil)...no luck.&nbsp\\; I&nbsp\\;checked &amp\\; cleaned the K&amp\\;N air filter (it was good)...no luck.&nbsp\\; I ran the tank almost empty and refilled it (probably need to empty it and check filter)...no luck.&nbsp\\; I plan on doing this tomorrow&nbsp\\;along with&nbsp\\;installing an inline external filter and leaving the one out of the tank.
&nbsp\\;
Any ideas out there, other than taking it to the dealer 20 miles away?&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;

Could be your carb jets are a little bit clogged. Only real solution is tear down and clean them. Or is your idle set too low? Or it could be the plug wires. Had to change my 99 wires twice in 45,000 miles.

The slashes are part of the new and improved HDF site. They come at no cost. Just dont double space or use too much punctuation.

Try disconnecting your battery cables, cleaning the connections. It may not be the problem, but it wont cost you anything to find out.

I think I read on this forum somebody going on a 17 day trip and found along the way a couple of gas stations quit selling premium all together and that some of the premium had gone bad because it's sitting to long in the storage tank because it's so expensive nobody is buying it.&nbsp\\; So it could be bad gas.
