I have an 08 fatboy and wanted to know if anyone knows if a crossbones spring seat will fit onto a fatboy?&nbsp\\; I'm trying to convert my fatboy into a bobber.

 

According to our HD shop here in town it will fit. Should run about $450.00 for the seat and parts.

 

yeah it does fit, only 2008 and up...you can't put the cross bones seat setup on any 2000-2007 softail. they changed the frame in 2008

 

There are a few places that make aftermarket versions as well.&nbsp\\; i can't remember any of them off hand but if I do I will post for you as I came across a couple of them yesterday.

I bought a used Xbones seat for my 05 Deluxe. I haven't had a chance to install it yet but I took my seat off to compare and it looks like it should work.

 

It probably has to do with the width of the rear fender. that plastic cover under the seat may be specific to the width of that finder. Just a thought, feel free to bombard me with "your a dumb f#$k" if you want to.

 

just really want to see what it would look like.

 

I took another look today (rainy) Looks like the seat will work but the plastic cover is wider at the rear fender. I think I might look for somebody with a springer seat with low backrest who wants to trade.
