How do i check the oil in my 95 softail?
I tried a search, but the answers are about 50-50 both ways. I check my oil straight up and levelon my 95 softail springer, however I saw another guy doing it on the side stand. I was also told thet different year softail do it differnt, so what way is correct on my 1995. (I do not have the owners manual)

You are correct in that different models may use different methods. \\; I highly recommend purchasing an owners manual at the very least. \\; You would benefit greatly by also buying a factory service manual. \\; There is a TON of good info in there that will answer just about any question you can come up with concerning the upkeep and servicing of your bike.

Warm the bike up to normal operating temp, shut it down, bike upright and level, check the dipstick. \\;\\\\\\; That's how my son checks his 94 fxstc, however, you really should get a manual.
