i was told the same thing but that it only applies to HD parts. I got the V&H short shots and a fi2000 programmer. I only have 200 ml. on my bike and the parts were supposed to be on back order until late august but just came in this past tuesday. They're sitting in my garage and begging to be put on. I'm trying to figure out if i need to wait until the suggested break in period is through or i can put everything on now

6165hd i got from Montgomery County HD. I really didn't think it would be an issue but with it being my first HD and dropping that kind of scratch i wanted to be sure. I have a free day 2morrow and wanted to try and get everything on and ride!!!!

Also, be sure to save your receipts and follow the Softail Manual before installing on your own... If you do have any questionable issues or trouble with performance, and need to take it back for service, they may not cover it because you are installing ,,,not the Dealer. Just a FYI....

PLEASE stop with the Dealer waving that BS FLAG of, "&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;I'll void your warranty if you......."
Federal Law prohibits that action unless the dealer or manufactuer can prove that the part(s)
You or anyone else installed led to failure
GOOD GRIEF!

I had my dealer install my short shots, SE I air kit, and power commanderIII before I picked up my bike.&nbsp\\; When I brought it in for the 500 mile, it was popping and lightly backfiring on decel....they said it was running a little on the lean side, so they fixed it so it wouldn't pop until a lower RPM.&nbsp\\; Ran good.&nbsp\\; I brought it in at my 1000 mile, and they were able to dyno tune it and they got it all dialed in.&nbsp\\; So you can have those mods installed before 1000 miles.&nbsp\\; They just can't dyno tune it until you reach those miles.&nbsp\\; Good luck
