Default Black parts on the 09 Fatboy

I know this has probably been beaten to death, but I just saw it for the first time. I think they look good, "if" both sides were blacked out. It just seems off balance, like one side is chrome and one side is black, not sure what the MOCO was going for this year.

I agree. It looks like a mistake from the factory, but that's the way it is suppose to look.
It would make more sense to put out an all black or have a choice of a blacked out one or a chromed one.

Looking at it another way...you can't see both sides at once, so it's hard to tell. Agree that having more blacked out on the chrome side would appeal.
