I wouldn't mind the pulling over part. New bike, seems like the headlight shouldn't shake like that and be plenty bright.

I have a aftermarket headlight with a super white bulb that is blue a certain angles. the bulb cost $31 bucks but well worth it and has a lifetime warranty. I just got from a 2700 mile trip and my dad could spot me from anywhere threw the other guys because of the the brightness and the blue. The shaking.... i had the same problem. It wasnt my housing but it was the plastic piece that the bulb sits in was loose and kept hitting my bulb and breaking them. When I was riding it looked like the whole headlight was shaking. Like i said it wasnt the housing or the headlamp but the piece that the bulb sits in front of. Check if it is tight inside there. it is a easy fix.

so the bulb itself comes out?i wasnt sure if you had to replace the whole glass peice with it or just the bulb. where did you pick one up. i tried the autozone and car parts places but nobody carried one for a bike.

I had this problem also. Take a 2 in. piece of fuel hose, remove the headlight, loosen the mount, place the hose inside bottom between the headlight can and the mount, retighten mount, install headlight, adjust for proper level. cheap fix, works great!

I did the fix that is outlined in that old thread several thousand miles ago. It is about $5 at the hardware store for 3 nylon spacers, some machine screws and washers. It is solid as a rock with no more shaking and the bulb shows no ill effects.
