Just wondering, from your experience ..If I want to by a stock vivid black fatboy and have the dealer do a couple of things of my choosing ...am I going to have to wait months before I am able to get it? Last time I talked to the dealer, they said they got new bikes in weekly, but I hear storys of people waiting months. Is the only way I'll walk out with one in a decent timeframe to buy on off the floor?

 

it would depend on your dealer of choice's inventory. if, he had nothing in stock - you'll have to wait. if you buy from someone like I did - they had about 5 or 6 FatBoys in stock and had mine ready to go in about 30 minutes.... just long enough for me to do the paperwork.

As you want black, you should be fine...

You should be able to call them now and ask them what colors they have coming in and on what dates, I know my local dealer will tell/have that info.

Also, you can always 'order one', then you will have a very good idea of when it will come... 'Ordering' does may not mean a longer wait time, it could just mean putting your name beside the next 'Black Fatboy' coming in... and again, now you would know the date.

Good luck... but you'll be fine.... I believe Vivid Black is the most popular color, you will have no problems finding one.

Mid Low sissy with fatboy pad
Vance & Hines Double Barrell exhaust
Kuryakyn ISO grips
All Black covers on handlebars replaced with chrome

I figure that will be a nice way to start!!
