Default 2008 deluxe pin striping

I love my new 08 deluxe. It is gorgeous. That being said....I am extremely obsessive compulsive and I tend to notice things that most people wouldn't, or wouldn't care about.

I have noticed several areas on my bike where the pin striping is a bit less than perfectly dead on ***** straight. Is this to be expected? I assume it's done by hand. I noticed it when I purchased the bike, but didn't really think much of it cause I've noticed that many of the pin striped harleys i've seen don't have PERFECT pin striping. Guess I am just hoping you guys will say, "yeah, it's done by hand, can't be perfect, get the hell over it".

thanks,
rob

Think of it this way... Your bike is one of a kind.

Sorry, I can't see the problem, but the pin striping looks like it's over the clearcoat. Is it?

let's try this one....

not sure if it's over the clear coat or not.

Same here. But my question is what's up with the thumb print on the chrome?

Don't worry dude, I'm the same way.

thanks guys!! you have eased my mind that I am not the only one!!! though i kinda figured that out myself. My suggestion to Harley is that their pin striper lay off the meth!!!
