Default It's been a swell ride but....

I made a deal on on '08 left over Ultra Classic (ABS) and pick it up tommorrow. The wife and I put on many touring miles on the Heritage and many road trips over our 5+ years of owning it. I'll miss her I'm sure, but it's time to move on so I'm defecting to the dark side.

Keep the clean side up Softail's.

DOH! Ah well. We'll still wave at ya on your geezer glide. LOL! Ride safe.

Just for the record, I hope you and your wife sat on this bike together before you agreed to buy it. I was going to purchase an Ultra Classic when I decided on the Heritage. We actually felt more cramped with the EG

Congrats Rat! What color did you go with? My business partner picked up a black glow/gold glow '08 two months ago and I must say it's a pretty sweet ride.

From someone who owned a softail and moved to an Ultra, you are really going to love that new sled! Congrats and post some pix when you can!

Thanks guys. I spent a bunch of money over the years to make the Heritage into a tourer for the long haul. It did the job but, well it was time for a little more. Test rode an E-Glide a few weeks back and decided it was time. Waited for the '09s to come out and looked at some '08 left overs. Deal was too good on the '08 to jump for the '09 and there still weren't any on the dealers floor. I have seen the '09 Street Glide though. Nice!

1/2 hour more and I'm out of here to go pick it up.

I'll keep tabs on you guys though and help out if and when I can.

I just came off of a 06 Street Glide. You are gonna love the ride; very comfy!!! I rode out to Yellowstone (2000 miles round trip) and had zero problems thanks to that fairing. Heck, I ran into snow, ice, and LOTS of rain and didn't even blink; well, maybe a little. lol

You won't be sorry!
