Can I buy the button that the clutch lever presses?
I just changed my grips, and when I was putting them back together, I found a little spring with rubber on the end. I finally figured out where it came from. On the clutch side housing (where the clutch lever base meets it), there is a rubber button. The top of that button (which is just a rubber boot) ripped out somehow and the spring that it pushed popped out as well. I can sit it back in the hole, but now when I pull the clutch lever, that button (being now disconnected from the rest of the rubber boot) pops to the side or out completely, so the bike doesn't think the lever's pulled, and won't let me start.
I can of course start the bike in neutral, but it's a pain as I usually just leave the bike in gear and pull the lever when I'm starting. I park on a hill, so leaving it in neutral would be a pain.
My actual question is: Can I buy just this button? Or do they make a more sturdy switch, or must I buy the entire switch housing?
I really want to switch the housings out for chrome eventually anyway, but if someone had a black clutch side housing sitting in their garage and wanted to send it over cheap, that'd certainly be more affordable. Anybody have any ideas?
