Rear Footpegs,Whats the point???

Default Rear Footpegs,Whats the point???

If you have decided to go Solo whats the point of the rear footpegs /
Can the brackets they are attached to be removed from the rear frame and are there any "blanks" ti fill the hole.

Yes they come off. with the peg in the up position twist ccw (mine came off easy). you might find a hole plug that will snap in the hole at your local hardware store.

You could also get a short chrome allen head bolt to screw in the threaded hole. Our local hardware store has a ton of chrome bolts.

I dont see any reason to have them on I ride solo 99% of the time. It seems everytime i come to a stop one of them has fallen down.

Worse case is you find a phillips pan head screw the the local hardware store that fits and use a little black model paint to match it to the frame.

Just taken them off ! not sure why i couldnt have figured it out for my-self.
Will need to find a chrome rod or something for the left hand side as just remembered i am installing Heartland side-plate and i think they bolt on to the footpeg shaft.

looks good without them though....cheers for the advice everyone

I've taken them off my last two bikes. My new Cross Bones came without so saved me the trouble.

Just take the Heartland side plate to the local hardware store and find a stainless steel bolt that fits and use that instead. You can polish it if you like, but in any event it won't rust on you.

good idea Citroplus...or possibly cut the "ears" of the shaft i have got and get it chromed..
