Default Exhaust Suggestions for an 08 Heritage

08 Softail Heritage owner looking at going to louder pipes. Planned on staying quiet with the stock exhaust but now considering putting something a little louder on for safety. Seems people aren't really hearing me & I think louder pipes can only help....I hope!
Not looking for something obnoxiously LOUD, but something louder that the "stock" pipes that came on my bike. Suggestions? 2 into 1? Duals? Pics, anyone?

Thanks,
Clay

I've got an 08 Deluxe and I was wanting the same thing, something a louder than stock, but not too loud. I went with the Vance and Hines Quiet Series Double barrel pipes. They sound really good.

Think you're going to find that the only thing out there that is a "little" louder are HDs SE pipes or slipons which many say are too tame. Every other system I've heard including my Rush 1.75 slipons are far from a "little" louder. Mine sound fine at idle and low speed cruising but when you rap them they are real attention getters. Actually too loud for my taste and could easily get me a ticket for excessive noise. But as I said there doesn't seem to be a happy median out there so I'll tolerate them till I find something better.

On my 99 Heritage I went through four sets of pipes before I got the true duals. On the 07 I have now I decided on Vance and Hines Big Shot Longs and though they are loud when you get it on I like the mellow rumble at normal riding speeds.

WTF! You stole my bike! Had to go look in the garage!

HAHA!

I have 2" Rush slip-ons, Baloney cut. GOD, they are loud! I punched the centers outta the stockers and that really wasn't a bad sound at all.

Have Fun!
