Exclamation After PCIII installed, unstable idle

I have emailed the tech support, not reply yet.
Here is the problem, got the PCIII a couple of days ago, send the right map to the unit, reset the throttle close, it runs pretty good except the idle quality, the first day I took it for a ride, it stalled at a light after riding 20 miles. This morning I rode the bike to work, park it for 20 minutes and took it out for breakfast, it idled so fast, with the clutch on, the bike still rolls a bit. When the oil temperature gets 230-240F, it seems to idle faster. I have no idea, has anyone run into the same problem? Thanks Alex

I played around with different maps. Some maps did the same thing that you discribed. Make sure that your 0 throttle position is really set to 0. I had that problem and mine somehow got changed to a 5. Reset it back to 0 at an idle and the problem went away. I used the PCIII for 42,000 miles on my 06 Ultra. They are great once you get the right map.

Remember, the "canned" maps you install are only a base point. Not a garentee that it will work perfectly with your bike. All the PC III is, is a basic fuel adder. The advise above is sound, make sure your TPS is set to 0 for a starting point as well.

Thanks guys, the throttle close was set to zero for sure. I am willing to pay for the dyno tune but the closest authorized tuner is 180 miles away from where I live, used to be one in town but they moved somewhere a year ago. I just have to play with the map I guess, I heard you will not be able to change the map setting at idle low rpm, is that true? I might also take the IAC out and clean it.
Thanks Alex

Check tps as stated above for the full range of throttle with 9vlt battery, 0% to 100%. Blip throttle several time to make sure it is correct.

Check fuel table you are using. Does it have 0 is in 0% column from 0 to 1500?

Also try reseting the Bikes computer by turning the bike ON & OFF four times. I think this is done with the run switch in the OFF position but I do it both ways to make sure.

I noticed you have an '06 are you using the O2 eliminators?

Thanks for your tips, I will check them later. It only stalled once but the idle is erratic.
I don't have O2 sensors on my 06', I think 06 is still open looped FI.

Hmm, I thought all '06 bikes had 1 O2 sensor and then they went to 2 O2 sensors on the '07 bikes. Did you put on the pipes yourself? I could be wrong here, someone with more 06 experience should chime in here.

No problem! I also thought I had O2 sensors but when I installed the big radius myself, no O2 sensors. 07 for sure
