I just bought a 2005 Softail Deluxe and am looking for some used saddlebags. When looking on ebay, should I be looking for mounting brackets that are approx. 9 1/5 inches apart (the last two bolts on the fender) or approx 6 1/5 inches apart (the first two bolts on the fender)? I assumed that it was 9 1/5, but then a saw a beautiful set of fat boy bags off a 2003 bike and it said the mounting holes were approx 6 1/2 inches apart. Thanks in advance.

The mounting holes on the HD hard bags on my 05 are 9-1/4" center to center. If that helps.
