Considering that the stock air cleaner is more restrictive than your Big Sucker, it's going to be getting less air than before, meaning your mixture is apt to be richer.
I was riding Saturday. It was about 87 degrees out. Bike felt like it was 350 degrees. I was thinking, man, I've got to get a reading on this. Never did.
It was 80 degrees today as I was riding home from work, and I remembered I had a thermometer in the garage from deep frying a turkey. Bike was felt like it was getting really heated, and as soon as I got in the garage I pulled the dipstick and stuck the deep fry thermometer in there.
200 degrees!
Maybe all the heat is just a figment of my imagination?
I'm going to start carrying this deep fry thermometer with me, and get to the bottom of this.
My FB runs 230 oil temp on a 90 degree day and was dyno tuned with a PCIII. The SG runs 20 to 25 degrees hotter. Wish I could run 200 degrees on either one.
