Default Anybody has an opened air cleaner?

I hate to see air filter oil going everywhere when I ride on the highway, the wind blows through the filter, make a big mess on my right pant and exhaust, does it bother you? I like the look of it and don't want to put a cover. I am not sure if it is a good idea not to add oil to the air cleaner.

You are using too much oil. I have always used these type of filters on dirt bikes, sport bikes and cruisers and never had that problem. If it is dripping oil like that you need to use less!

It takes the right touch to figure out how much is enough and not too much.
On my dirt bikes I would oil them and then squeeze out the excess.
I am currently using Bully Dog oil as I have some for my diesel truck filter so I am using what I have.
I clean it which removes all the debris and oil and makes it a different color. Then I squirt it around one time and let it sit a bit and then check for any lighter areas. If I put too much on it I will notice it drip out but usually after one good ride it is over but I would never ride without it being oiled.
The filter is porous enough to let dirt particles in without the oil and why it flows so much air.

Oh and yes like my sig says, I have the big sucker!

You only need a fine mist when applying the oil. You are getting sprayed because of the excessive amount of oil being used. I use the Forcewinder, and ANBS on my 2 other bikes, never a problem.

I'm running a RSD with no issues at all...
I'm with the others on the diagnosis of too much filter oil...

You obviously haven't cleaned and oiled it yourself yet and still have the factory oil installed at the proper level.
When you do it yourself just use a fine amount!

I am washing it now, will put less oil this time. I think I tried to cover the black filter part so I sprayed too much last time.
