Default Chromed Amber 1157 Bulbs

Anyone have an opinion (dumb question so far ) on the chrome shaded amber front turn signal bulbs (1157)? Strictly for cosmetics to remove the amber color from the front signal lights when the bike is parked. If you have them, which mfgr is best?

Thanks in advance.

I will let you know how the red 1157 works in the tail light next week. I have not found the red 1156 for the rear turn signals or amber 1157 for the front turn signals yet.

Did you see the amber 1157 yet?

I have a bag full of the amber 1157's for the front blinkers/clear lens (that HD sells), if that was your question. The chrome tinted 1157's that light up amber for use in the front blinkers (but don't look amber when off) is what I am considering. And yes, I have seen them for sale.

I used em for a while, seems like they didnt last very long before burnin out. Switched over to LEDs, cost a few more $. But they look better, brighter, and last a lot longer.

Thanks wingnutt. I imagine they are clear but light up amber? I'll check that out too.

Yeah the bulbs I had were clear, with a chrome dome, and lit up amber, red for the rear. didnt look to bad with clear lens covers. Dont know who made em, Think I got them from JP Cycles.

Default I just installed some of these.

I just purchased and installed a pair of these. Don't know how long they will last, only time will tell.

I have the Silvanya Blue Star. they have a blue tint when parked but you can still see a bit of the amber. I might try the chrome ones from ebay.
