Default Ever see pics of your bike on Ebay?

Well I was checking out wheels I can't afford just for fun and up pops a pic that I took of Dingers bike. It looks like his old sig pic from here. This guy is advertising mammoth 52 spoke wheels from DNA I believe for sale. It is from eastern performance and also states that the wheels are for a fatboy and only for the years 00-06. Well, Dingers bike is an 07 HERITAGE. Granted the wheels look killer and it is a good pic. I sent him a note telling him I want free wheels so he can use my photo like that. Anyway, it just really was a surprise to see that on ebay. The other key factor is that his wheels are ride wright fat daddies with 50 spokes, not what is advertised. I wonder how often this happens. Flattery is nice but I was still surprised.

Now that's what I call a nice complement!

I've got a call in at Hogpro, I doubt there's anything I can do about it legally. At least someone likes my bike enough to advertise with it!

I think that probably violates your copyright in the photograph. I honestly think you could leverage that for some money or wheels if you tried hard.

Holy crap, that really is your bike! Look at the background, same fence and house (just a little different angle).

I don't know what to say. I assume you took the photo? If so and they just got it off the web I would say it is fair game. I doubt any expected privacy or copywrite laws apply on a public forum. However, I bet you could push the issue and get something worked out.

Now, since I just gave you free legal advice I want something in return. If they send you free wheels I want one of them. The front one...no wait, the rear wheel. lol

Just heard from Hogpro. There's nothing anyone can do as this website isn't placing copyrights on the photos that are uploaded. I just felt they needed to know as I purchased the wheels from them.

Still a complement on my bike, I can't complain!

It was a while ago, I have seen my picture one time on ebay, someone was selling a brawler seat and took my picture.
