Ya know at first I thought this bike was unappealing. But lately it's starting to grow on me. My buddy just bought one a few days ago and now I only have good things to say about it. Stock seat has to go though.
They do bounce a little bit on bigger bumps, but not too bad. I LOVE the seat and I won't get rid of it. I actually find it rather comfortable. It is smoother than my Street Glide was (IMO).
Of course, I would chose form over function any day of the week so who cares how it feels. lol
I love the seat on mine, very comfortable, takes out the bumps in the road because of the springs, plus I think its one of the things that really make this bike look good.
Hell, there ain't no way I would get rid of my stock set, it fits the bikes looks. But I do like White Guys seat, it's retro looking too. "Looks is everything"
You either love or hate this bike, I bought the first one that hit the floor in MD. I can't bring myself to change the seat even though my wife hates it. I have a gel pad I use for trips that I put over the passenger pillion when she rides, thats all she is getting. The seat is actually not bad, lots of room to move around. On my last long trip I would sit back on the back lip at times with my rear touching the back pillion.
On the topic of the seat, I like the looks, but after about 120 miles I find it uncomfortable. I moved the seat to its forward setting for the last trip and found it a little better, but am going to move it back again and see if it was just in my head.
There are a couple new seats for the Cross Bones from HD, but not sure how much better they are. I am waiting for the dealer to get them in so I can take a look.
