First post. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I own a 2008 Fatboy. I thought I got lucky last week and purchased a New Hollywood Solo off Ebay for 120 vice 350.

I know the seat I purchased fits 2007 Fatboy and FXST. I am having an issue installing it. The Corbin Website has a new seat for 2008 Fatboys, I just can not see the reason for this change. They are the exact same bikes.

Does anyone here have a Hollywood Solo installed on their Fatboy 07 or 08 that does not have the key lock? Do I have to remove the chrome plate that runs along the fender to install the seat?

I will post some pictures when I get home tonight.

 

MIne is a 2007 FXST but it has the key lock.........what holds the seat on in your scenario? Mine has a post in front of the battery near the tank and a metal "pocket" bolted to the top of the ECU that accepts a tab on the bottom of the seat.......that's it. The seat locks onto the post until it's released by the key.

 

There are 2 holes that are attached to the seat and used to bolt it on.

 

I guess no one has a Corbin Hollywood solo. I'm going to get my hands on a air gun and remove the fender struts and see if she will fit on.

I swear if you want to work on your bike you might as well open a custom shop. lol

 

Call Corbin with the part number and see if they can send you some install directions. I swear that looks like a seat for a pre-'06.
