Greetings from Los Angeles.....


I just bought the HD Saddlebags made to match my Deluxe and it came with some support brackets to support the underneath of the bag. However, every pic I have seen of bikes with these bags, do not use the brackets, I don't want to either, but wanted to know if I have to use them. Hopefully not.....but would appreciate any advice from experience. Thanks for your help......JRG

 

Never occurred to me not to put them on my wife's Deluxe. Guess you could always leave them off and see what happens.

 

Ahh JRG, you have such GOOD taste. I often wondered about those brackets myself. Have 'em on mine but like you have seen pics without the brackets. I also wanted to add the axle covers, but the parts catalog / guy said no go. Looks like lots of clearance back there and I've seen pics of these with the bags as well. Maybe someone can help us . . .
