Cutting Exhaust Pipes

Cutting Exhaust Pipes
For those of you who took the time to read my question about cutting my buddies crossover pipe on his 98 Springer - IT WORKED!!!
We cut the pipe just below the rear down tube (which feeds the right side pipe) I made a bent piece and welded it onto the rear jug pipe and made a 1 to 1 dual pipe setup. The change is DRAMATIC!!! He can now go up a steep grade in 5th gear, the sound is great and now both jugs are breathing better than ever. His HP has also increased but to what extent we are not sure, going to dyno in 10 days. Minimal changes to his S&S Super E and no jet changes, just lean/rich mixture change and fast idle adjustment.
If anyone is interested - let me know and I will send the dyno specs when we get them. Just wanted to let everyone know that this worked.
