I noticed a couple of drops of oil on my garage floor. I looked under the bike and saw a couple of bubbles (one on the front and one on the back) of oil on the right shock. Additionally, most of the shock was a kinda wet with oil or road grim. The bottom of the motor is dry and no visible leaks.

I know the transmission drain plug is right above the shocks, but I use Redline Heavy Shockproof and that is a pink color vice the light brown oil color on the shock.

Is it the shock? Any ideas?

Have you changed the oil and filter recently. No matter how I do it I always make a mess and use brake parts cleaner to get the excess oil off the bike but it seems there is always some left. Clean it good and see if it comes back.

 

The stealer did a change pretty recently. Thanks, I'll give that a shot.

 

check to see if there is a vent tube in the general area. Mine will vent drops of oil out of the vent tube if the oil is overfilled "at all". Especially after an oil change. My drops would always show up right under the swingarm. Used to worry the crap out of me.
