Default Can I remove the padding

I have an 08 Heritage with Rush slip-on's and the 2" baffles. I want it louder and was wandering if I removed the baffles and took off some of the dampering padding would if be louder and still throaty or maybe a horrible dieing calf sound? Also are the baffles really that easy to remove, one screw? Are they hard to get back in? Just a few questions for the vast knowledge on this forum. You guys are great.
Thanks
Tim

The baffles can be very easy to remove but some have stated that they are stuck in the pipe. I removed mine a couple of times. The packing is simply wrapped around the baffle core and secured with what appears to be masking tape. You could try it without packing but I think you may want to just order larger baffles from Rush.....about $60.

Just so you know my baffles burned out on my Rush pipes and the bike ran and sounded like chit. Put new material in them and bikes sounds and runs great again.

I have 1.75s on my Heritage and can't imagine anyone wanting louder pipes than these. May as well run straight pipes.
