Default Do Spike Air cleaners take away from the harley look too much?

Hey!
I like the look of spike air cleaners alot, but a couple salty older bikers I ride with think the spike air cleaners should be left for Choppers and people who are just trying to go above and beyond what a harley is all about and or looks like. What are your opinions? I have a black night train with paul yaffe x pipes. Its the denim black so its pretty low key, not very flashy. Thought a spike air cleaner might add some attitude.

I think it is your bike and if you like it and want it and can afford it, go for it!

bro let me tell you this. don't let anyone tell you what you should or shouldn't put on your bike. YOUR bike is YOUR medium to express YOURSELF and not to do what others think you should do with it. If you like spike air cleaners, slap it on there. if you like spikes, put a few of them on there, if you like chrome then chrome the beejesus out of it !!!!

It's your bike my friend, so treat it accordingly. Just my opinion, and to answer your question, If i were you i would put one on there (sounds like you want to). I personally love the look of spiked cleaners and can't wait to get my hands on one for my ROcker.

Just make sure you put up some pictures, that's all.

Ace, It's your money, your ride. I've seen a few that look rather cool to me. Oh, BTW, since when did you young grasshoppers start listening to us old farts anyway.

lol! well you gents make awesome points. I just love what harley represents and I didnt want to do anything that would take away from that. I love the suddle things everyone does to their bikes to make it their own. I didnt know if Putting on the spike would be too over the top.

Like the others have said it's your bike, put what you like on it.
That being said I don't think they are any worse than a spike on top of a German helmet.

Who cares what anyone else thinks(unless you have a "springer" seat on a softail frame )? If you like the way it looks, do it up.......
