I installed a garage door opener on my bike
with an exisitng remote that I had laying around.
I soldered a couple of wires to the board and
used a push button that I bought at Radio Shack.
It works great for about 2 days...then the battery (in the remote)
goes dead. I have tried 2 different remotes and
it happened with both of them.
Does anyone know why the battery would keep going
dead? It is very frustrating because it works great...
when it works. By the way - I took out the little button
on the board, so it is not because the little button
is being pushed in.

 

I would like to know how you wire it.

Rpcker Dave where did you mount the remote?

 

I did the same thing to a ultra. No problems. Sure you didn't get solder on more than the 2 points to make the circuit?
