Default Handlebar ideas for Deluxe...

I have a set of Harley Fat Mini Apes on my Deluxe. The 34" width seems to be a little much for my short arms....and I didn't like the factory set up either. Any suggestions or pics of anything with a width of around 30" to 32"??? Thanks for any help!

I see a lot of Deluxes with various brands of Beach Bars and most of them look great. Also hides your electrical wires. Of course it's a good time to change out your other cables also to something cleaner looking.

I'll let you know tomorrow. My wife and I are heading out to the Harley shop after work this afternoon to look at different bars for her Deluxe. She's got the stock bars and wants something a little more in and back.

I'm with CrawdadAZ Beach Bars Look great on the Deluxe....
They will cause you to place your hands a little farther apart (width).... but they will be closer to you (length).... sorry I don't have a picture... I'm sure someone will chime in with one...

I think beach, and apes look best, but most of all i think the deluxes look best without risers. There are lots of variations in each style, so you need to pick the style you want first.

We rode out to the Harley shop yesterday. Brought a set of bars home that seemed OK just holding them to the bike but after I got them bolted up, they looked like crap. They were like mini apes with really long pull backs. My wife said it felt like she was pushing a wheel chair.

Gonna swap them out today. We'll probably end up with a set of Heritage bars.

I love the looks of my mini apes....they are just a little wide for me. Let me know how the heritage bars work.

I installed the Heritage bars this weekend. They look great. The stock wiring and clutch cable was long enough. Went 2 over on the throttle and idle cables (32.5") and 4 over on the brake line. My wife loves the positioning. You might check out the Heritage bars but also look at Wide Glide bars as they may be slightly narrower.

Since I know most of the folks at the Harley shop, they let me take home three sets of bars. I put the bike on the lift, took the old bars off then set the new ones on so my wife could select the best one for her.

Glad to hear you found some that worked for her. I've been thinking about the Heritage bars also......I may ride my buddies for a while before switching over. Did she try the Fat mini apes? If so, what was the verdict on them?
