Default cross bones seat on softail

Just you all of you know. I have made all preparations to install the seat on a 2007 fatboy. you need to drill and tap, then just screw in.

so, did you have to drill & tap on the Deluxe?
I gotta check this out. the difference in the tire width from the 'Bones, FatBoy and Deluxe have me baffled.

No drill & tap required on my '08 frame. All the holes were already there & tapped. The tire width doesn't make a difference in the mounting points for the XB hardware. Found a GREAT Parts guy that looked up the #'s in the OEM parts books. What year is your Fatboy?

Here's some pix:

Default parts listing...

I have a complete parts breakdown. Hopefully you have microsoft word. Couldn;t get pdf file any smaller to upload. If you have problems, let me know and I'll email files.

Call Zanotti's for pricing. I got the price list somewhere that I'll have to find...

2007 and 2008 are different.

Seats from 2007 will not necessarily fit 2008 without mods

But I'd love to see some close up pics of the mods as I need a seat with a backrest for my Cross Bones.

GoBison - my FatBoy is an '08.

Roynd - thanks for the parts breakdown.

bfreesun - I'm running an '07 standard seat on my '08 Fatboy - no mods needed. BUT, I will double-check the 'Bones seat fitment.

thanks to all

You should have no problem. Check the parts manual for frame code - It should be the same.
