Default 08 crossbone...questions

I just got it on wed last week. love it, but would like to lower the seat and was wondering if you can mod the stock exhaust to make it louder or should i just wait and save some pennies to get the real thing.

Hello from NorCal and welcome to the forum!
Use the search engine. Many others have used 2" springs to lower the seat.

NorCal. I tried the 2 inch springs and found that let the seat bottom out when I put my fat @ss on it. Had to go back to the 3 inch springs... I am ~200lbs.

I figured I would have the same problem, so instead of lowering the seat, I am planing to lower the rear of the bike with a kit from Burnout Cycles...

Oh, and as for exhaust options.... their is not enough ink in the printer to make that list!
It's all up to YOU and what you find appealing. Slip ons would be the easiest/least expensive. I wanted something blacked out so I opted to change the whole system. Long/short,up/down,chrome/black,2-1/2-2,... those choices are ultimatly ones you will have to make for yourself based on what YOU like the looks and sound of... Good luck! And dont forget to post some pics over in the CrossBones Pic Thread once you decide!!!

As for the exhaust, there are 2 that I really like alot. The first is the Rinehart Crossbacks that I had on my 08 Crossbones. I had to let the 08 go in bad times, but now have a 09 and I just put the Vance & Hines RSD Tracker on it.
I like the look of the Rineharts alittle better, but the RSD system is really growing on me, and the sound is awsome.

Default 08 Crossbones

I lowered my crossbones by 3" replaced the standard springs for 2" and had the rear end lowered by 2" the seats bottoms out now and then if I hit a pot hole but im only 161lb was hoping to replace the standard exhaust and air box for RSD Tracker and RSD Air Kit, but just been layed off so will have to wait a while,

I used the J&P 2" springs and almost never bottom out, 7000 and still like them, I am 190 lbs. I scrape the floor boards all the time so lowering would not be a good option for me, The Bones already has the worst lean angle of any Harley.
