Default Exhaust sound

I have vance/hines long shots on my heritage.I like the look, but the sound is to loud for me,even with the baffle in.
I also have the BIG CITY THUNDER QQ BAFFLE.This gives it a deeper thoruthier sound and the bike does run much better in the lower/mid range area, but it is still a little loud for me.
The stock pipes are to quiet,so I would like to have something in between.
Are there slip ons for the stock header or vance/hines header pipes?
Any suggestions.
Jim

Rush slip ons for the stock pipes and you can choose the baffle that is your sound level.

Yes, Rush Slip-ons! Great sound and interchangeable baffles.

I just ordered the "V&H Quiet Baffles" for my Longshots from www.cyclespot.com. I've had a couple of different members tell me that is the cure for the Longshots loud rumble. For $60 shipped, their worth a try. Otherwise I guess I'll just have to get used to them. Do a "quiet baffle" search on the URL below...& you can read about them here. http://www.cyclespot.com/baffles.html

When I bought my 95 Heritage, I found I had some popping in the exhausts and I would have to use the choke way too much and too often. It was also kind of noisey, especially at high speed, there was a high frequency that I didn't like. I checked it out and found that I had stock exhausts but there was nothing at all inside the mufflers. I ordered a set of big city thunder baffles and installed them in the header pipes just ahead of the mufflers. Now, my bike sounds great and runs a lot better. I also have a huge increase in low end torque. I didn't dyno it, but I can feel the difference.

I just put the BSS on my night train..........I think they are too loud as well even with the quiet baffel. Hopefully we can find a solution.

BSS? Big Shot Shorts? I hope the quiet baffles work a little better for me. Hopefully the length will work in my favor anyhow...All in all I'm not too disappointed in the sound & they look GREAT! Cruising down the freeway at 60 they're not too loud from where I'm sittin! How big of a difference did you notice? Supposedly the quiet baffles quiet them down by 6 db.
