Default Springer Maintenance???

Lookin at an FXSTS, 1999 with about 30K miles. I never owned a Springer and am now wondering what to look for as far as if it needs any maintenance or repair. Also, what does the HD Springer need for a regular service? Any Springer owners able to help?

You need to keep tabs on the neck bearing and rockers. Ride the bike, put it through it's paces. If it pulls, you will need to adjust the neck bearing. They are relatively maintanance free, other than greasing the neck with every service.

+1 on the neck bearings and rockers. If you turn the handlebars and you feel them catch then it's time to change the neck bearings. It isn't too hard of a job though. I've had to do it twice since I've had mine and it has about 55k on it. I believe HD recommends every 10k but that is too frequent.
