98 heritage starter porblems
I have a 98 Heritage Classic and keep stripping ring gear teeth. I had replaced the starter and pinion, and since then it all has been bad. I am on my third ring and second pinion. mech says he "has been doing this for 25 yrs" and that the ring and pinion are matched sets. He also did the timing. Anyone think of anything else that is tearing up my starter system? My bike has been on a trailer more than the road for the last 4 months. eddie
