Default Need More Leg Room!

Is there a way to get more extension, other than the standard 3" extensions for the forward controls. I have an 07 softail w/ 3" extensions and a solo seat. I am 61/2" and have a solo seat. I am still cramped, probably could use another couple of inches. I am using the swing out pegs, which work great, but the shifter and brake are short. I would like to have everything extended a couple of more inches.

i would find a good machine shop and have them make you so plates to move them foward to your liking.you will have to lengthen the shifter rod and rear brake line.

I had the same problem and have been struggling with it for a while. I rigged up a Kuryakyn mustache bar and some 90 degree offsets to form a place where I put my heel on the existing pegs and my toes on the mustache bar pegs. I am 6'4" and have 3" extended forward controls on my 05 standard. See the picture attaced.. It's not great but it helps on the 150 mile + rides.

I will be looking for a machine shop that can possibly fabricate what I need. Thanks for the idea.

Forget about the pegs, get a taller seat. Put a pillow on your seat and then check your reach, you will be surprised at the difference.

I had the same problem. HD thinks everyone is 5'9" like ***** G. The pegs sit way too high. Even moving them forward isn't going to lower your legs so the angle of lower leg to thigh is more comfy. On my 01 Deuce I left the Arlen Ness forward brackets on and installed running boards and mounts I picked up on ebay for cheap. Easy to do. Didn't take long. With the boards mounted to the forward relocation brackets, I have the leg room that allows me to bring my legs back under me as though I had mid-controls and all the way forward as though I had highway pegs on. No kidding. They're comfy and allow me to change my leg position.

On my bagger with boards (FLHTC) I don't have the multiple leg positions as I do on the Deuce with boards. Not sure why, but sure it has to do with my body position difference.

I m 6'3" I got a lindy bar with some highway pegs on the sife, when my knees start to cramp I just swing them on top of the bars and hang them OVER Like sitting in an easy chair. Plus I order a drivers backrest and I'm in heaven.
