Default Just bought an '09 Rocker C; new to the HD world and have some ?s

Hello all!

I am new the the Harley world and am so glad I finally came over from the crotch rocket crowd!

As the title says, I just bought an '09 Rocker C in Vivid Black and it, like all of my vehicles, has become my most recent project. As you can see from my other vehicles below, I like the ALL BLACK custom look.

What I am looking to do, is essentially the same thing to my Rocker; however, I don't really know much about the aftermarket industry for Harley the way I do for cars. I have ordered Blacked-out V&H Big radius pipes that come tomorrow; black shifter and lever; black turn signals with LEDs; new black grips, black pegs; and black LED mirrors. I also am doing a new two-seat seat with black struts. What are some other good mods for the Rocker that are offered in black?

Also, being 6'4" and 275, leaning the 240 rear tire over is quite easy; I wanted to know if I could go up to a 280 or 300 without a big differene in handling??

Sorry if these questions are the beating a dead horse but any info would be appreciated!

280-300 will change the handling. I wouldnt go any larger than a 240-250 for handling reasons, if your going for looks well go as large as you want.

I wouldn't change out the back tire for anything bigger then a 250, it will definitely change the handling in a bad way. I know big tires look badass and all but, If I were you, I'd just leave it be the way it is

my $0.02

Nice rides, I just got into the Harley world myself with an 09 flame blue pearl Rocker C. My other bike is a blacked out R1 that matches your vehicles.
Get some black handle bars and levers, you can also get some regular Rocker parts and black them out like the fork bottoms and primary cover.

I think the Rocker would look good all blacked out with a little chrome, maybe even black chrome wheels.

You may get away with a 260, but it will ride different.

Is there a bigger difference between a 240 and 280 than there is between a 200 and a 240?

Thanks for the input! Keep it comin'! I think I will blackout some of the OEM stuff
