Dont be fooled into thinking your getting a deal on an 08 Fatboy cause the 09s are here. If your in the market, do your homework. They dropped the msrp on the 09 Fatboy to 15,999. I found this out last week. Just a heads up for anyone looking to buy.

$1,450.00 difference between the FATBOY and DELUXE!

I've been to 3 dealers in South Florida.......(I'm looking at ROAD KINGS)

they have FATBOYS in stock ('09) but NO DELUXES.........

one salesman told me they can't keep DELUXES on the floor and they can't get enough of 'em from the factory..........

 

I was offered $16,500 for my '08 FatBoy - and that 2 weeks ago by a dealer... he said they can't get enough "used" bikes. siad he'd mark it up a grand and sell it before they sold any '09s..... interesting, huh? and I really don't have much bling on it. windshield, power commander, SE A/C, 2" Rushs and a reworked standard seat.

 

the 09 have taken away about $2000 in chrome.

 

The '09s have the same chrome as the '08s. The difference is there will be little to no haggle room on the '09s from a dealer.

 

why they first came out at 1400 less than 08 the right side was not chrome but i see they changed that

 

I took advantage of the lower price and bought an 09 Fatboy. It's a funny story, I was at the dealership about to buy an 08 Rocker C. My Harley dealership wouldn't accept my down payment via debit card. I told them that I would come back in a couple of weeks with cash. I had a sudden change of heart. I started thinking that the Rocker C did not fit my needs. Lets face it, saddle bags, a windshield, driving more than 30 miles, and having a girl ride with you aren't things that are very compatible with the Rocker C. I called and put my order in for a Fatboy. Because of the price drop, I was able to upgrade to the chrome wheels and a Candy Red Sunglo paint job. Best decision I ever made. I am pleased. On a side note. Before I purchased my bike, I was a big man and swore I would never put a windshield and a sissy bar on my bike. After one ride, over sixty miles an hour, with my girlfriend, the first things I went out and purchased was a windshield and a sissy bar.

I just visited a local Harley dealer yesterday, I didn't see any chrome missing on the 09, it looks the same as a 08. Great buy!

 

All this missing chrome 'stuff' is from the web site. right when the 09s were released HD had a Fatboy picture that did NOT show right side chrome. It was just the picture that HD 'fixed'.
