Help with risers
I tried this question on the tech forum with no results, maybe you guys can help me.I have just put on 4.5 risers and now the break cable is tight. It is wrapped around the accelerator cables, I think that if I can unwrap them they will have more room. My question is which one do I take loose to unwrap and how do I do it? Is one going to be easier than the other? Please help...

Step #1 = get a service manual.
Step #2 = dis-assemble the throttle cables at the grip according to the manual
Step #3 = unwrap the cables
Step #4 = put everything back together according to the book
Don't eliminate any of the steps Also don't mess with the brake line unless you want to learn how to bleed the brakes.

Yer welcome.
The manual is going to be the best investment in your scoot you could make.
BTW if you're thinking about changing out your grips, this might be the time to do it. You're gonna be half way there anyway.

If both cables are wrapping around the brake line, then you can simply take the grip off and work it around, then reinstall it.
On the brake line, you need to check a couple of things. First, is there a junction at the bottom of the triple tree? If so, then the top should be ok as long as it has a little slack. If not, then you have to look at the total cable length. If you apply the front brake and then pull back on the bars, does the line go tight? If so, then you need to get another line, or reroute the one you have. Otherwise, you can snap it if you hit a bump or the front comes up. I just recently did mine, but can't find the thread right now.
PS - it would help if you told us what kind of bike it was.
