Carb or Injection
How do I tell if a 2005 Softail Deluxe is carb or injected?

Fuel injected bikes do not have a fuel tank valve and no reserve.

I am new to motorcycles so I am going to sound stupid, where should I look for the above items?

The tank petcock is on the left side of the fuel tank. There will be a lever to move to open the valve and to go to reserve. If towards the rear of the tank on the left side you see a line coming out with no lever it is fuel injected.

uh, look behind the air cleaner. if it has a carb, then it's a uh......carb bike.

if you get a high pitch wine when you turn on the ignition you have fuel injected. Also look behind the air filter and if you see a round dome you have carb.
