Default first oops purchase: engine guard

so far I have been thrilled with every mod that I have done/bolted on to my 08 deluxe but tonight that changed. I bolted on the nostalgic engine guard (after much deliberating between it and the "chrome" one) and I am just not thrilled with how it flows with the rest of the bike. I think it is too round and that I should have bought the other model.

No returns on special order parts so its mine. No worries, its all part of the game but lets hear it, what have you purchased and then stepped back and said "oops! thats not what I wanted"

I wanted and put the chrome engine guard on my Heritage. Within a week my brother in law made a mistake and it tipped over on a ferry when I was moving. The engine guard saved my bike from getting a scratch. Not even a mark on the guard. Not only that but the guard prevented it from knocking over the Harley next to it and so on.... and on...and on....etc. Money well spent and I like the look.

I’m not too crazy about the looks of the nostalgic engine guard either. Just get the other one and sell the nostalgic guard on Ebay. Or do like I do and keep it. I have a whole shelf full of “OOPS” that I have accumulated over the years.
