Question wanna put a springer on my 06 fxsti

has anyone done this mod yet? what springer did you use and what other mods are going to be incorporated with this.i think its going to look sweet...............if anyone has done this point me to a picture . i want to keep the leghth at factory 31 inches.

I've never owned anything but a "Springer" and started with a 47' Knuckle in 59'. I have only owned one of the tubed front bikes but found the springer to be best suited for me. I think the springer denotes "Pure Harley".
They do ride and handle different though so be prepared for that.

You can easily install a OE Harley springer front end. You would need all parts really, brake caliper,bars, wheel etc but would go right on your Softail.
Or you can go after market like Paugcho, American Suspension, Redneck engineering, Jerry springer, DNA (found on e-bay real cheap a lot) etc.
I would think a shock with the springs would be ideal as the OE Harley front ends do. Paugcho has shocked springers as does American Suspensions Dragon. The others may now too though I do not know.

im liking the paucho wide springer with a 80 twisted spoke front tire.

You will love the springer, it took me awhile to get used to the look, but I love it now.

whats the leghth of a stock springer front end...............i think my stock front end is 31 inches and a springer is 28 inches now when i order it im gonna want to add a couple of inches to keep the same rake or no.....................any math teachers in this forum.........i only want to order once.
