Default Buying new rubber for my 00 Deuce, what to get?

getting both front and rear, any suggestions?

I have Metzelers on it now but hear they wear faster than other tires... no clue if that's true but looking for options.

Thanks for your help

I run Metzlers on my 04 Deuce and really like the way it handles. Tire wear seems the same as the dunlops.

I just put on a new set of avon cobras on a softail custom and it handles like a crotch rocket now. They are built for the heavy cruisers and they claim that the longevity is really high. Time will tell I suppose but I do know that the look great and it rides like a different bike. Heres a pic from the net along with avon's propaganda link.http://www.avon-tyres.co.uk/motorcyc...dia&subpage=36

I had Metzlers on the front and back and great grip but low wear. I now run Dunlop on the rear and Metzler on the front and have almost the same grip. I can control the rear sliding by letting off the throttle but I still want the front grip and have it.
