Possible/Probable Scam

Possible/Probable Scam
I am in Alabama and I was checking out the motorcycle classified section of our On-Line local newspaper. I saw this unbelieveable price on a 2005 chromed out Deluxe with 1,751 miles. $7,500. The pictures of the bike look good. I contacted the seller thinking it was a misprint, but I wanted to make sure because if it was legit, I was going to buy it. Well, the guy is a middle-easterner and he is in Canada "due to some problems", but the bike is in Montana. He wants the money up front and then he will ship the bike and if you don't like it, you can ship it back. Besides the low price, why would he be advertising in our local newspaper. I am assuming that this ad is also in other local on-line newspapers and I just wanted to pass this info along. I think stay away! Here is a link that I hope works to the ad if anyone would like to see it for themselves.

SCAM
Email him you have a relative that lives in Montana and he can look at the bike. You will get a reply, without your name on it because it's computer generated, saying it's not possible for any reason you want to make up. These ad's are all over the internet on Craigslist. A lot of scams are coming from Toronto because it's very difficult to prosecute.

This response is something I did a couple of months ago on a bike that was listed on the Reno Craigslist. The guy who posted the ad e-mails me back telling me the bike was in a town in Maine, and blah, blah, blah........... I told him I had relatives 30 minutes from his town and to give me his address. I never heard from him again.

It's even more obvious a scam 'cause shipping a bike is expensive. No one is going ship it to you to look at and then ship it back free if you don't want the bike. Even more so that he asks for the money up front, bike sight unseen. The only thing you'll receive is the shaft and Harley's don't have a drive shaft, they're belt drive.
