Are all of the 00-05 softail oil tanks the same across the board as far as fitment? Meaning a tank off an fx would fit an fl?

I have all the parts to turn my black/chrome engine on my fatboy wrinkle black but didn't get an oil tank. I may just find a used painted one and paint it flat black myself or have it powdercoated....

I would assume they are the same, but you know what happens when you assume!

I replaced the black oil tank on my '07 standard with a chrome oil tank from an '05 softail (insert model here....I don't know what it came off of). The battery tray was a bit different but all the bolt holes lined up.

 

Pritty sure they are all the same.
