Default help installing 3" Arlen Ness forward controls

I installed the shifter side with ease maybe 5 mins. Now I am getting ready to install the brake side. I can't quite firgure out what the instructions want me to take apart. Please anyone who has done this conversion, if you have used a thread from this site, please turn me on. thanks. Also master cylinder says use only dot4 and all I have is dot3 , so should I follow the directions or doesn't it matter. Thanks

DOT #3 and #4 will mix...only diff is #4 has a higher boiling point...I've used a blend of #3 and #4 in my rear master cylinder for a few thousand miles now...no problems.I installed the Ness 3" forwards on my '06 Softail and had no real problems with either side...they bolt on pretty much the same way...you'll have to swap out the brake line (which is included with the AN forward kit) but other than that I didn't have to disassemble anything...what exactly are you having trouble with??

Default fixed

I sat down and calmly opened a beer, called AN tech assist. Guess what they sent me an old bracket w/ new instructions. The tech guy walked me through it. Se that beer fixes everything. Thanks again guys he also told me to stay w/ Dot 4 don't mix or change is what he said.
